This specialised signature silk-stitch work has been a part of Trish's distinctive approach for over 40 years..
Whilst simple stitch techniques are utilised this work is one of contradiction.. it holds a tension between it’s loose painterly aesthetic and the patient focus that stitch demands..
The Lavaliere was birthed in the lead-up to a runway collection we featured in 2017.. and since the workshops of that time, we have yearned to bring you this opportunity once more.
Develop your own potent symbol or talisman of sorts.. to pair with any outfit for casual or inspired wear. This technique produces a richly textured.. lustrous piece that can be either wearable.. or otherwise.
When: Saturday June 27th & Sunday 28th 10am-4:30pm (includes lunch break)
Cost: $490 -includes a cosy lunch, & afternoon tea both days.
Materials: All materials provided.. however if you have your own beloved kit, please bring your personal items with you. Please bring you, a visual diary and pencil, or artline, your own pair of sewing scissors, and a thimble if you use one.
